I am OBSESSED with documentaries, and during my week long documentary marathon this May for the Hot Docs Film Festival, I saw one that really stuck with me. Blood Brother is about Rocky, a average guy, who during a trip to India, meets a group of children at an orphanage for women and kids affected by AIDS. He falls in love with them, returns home to sell everything he can, and then moves to India to dedicate his life to helping them. Directed by Rocky’s best friend Steve, the documentary is beautifully filmed, and drives home the idea that no matter a person’s situation, we all need love. Its safe to say I spent the better part of the following two weeks googling trips to India. Learn how you can get involved here.
