Take your pick of Kernal Panic, Broken Screen or Blue Screen of Death to make leaving at 3:57pm on a Friday the only logical thing to do.
Okay IRVers, our whole lives we’ve heard it is so important it is to eat breakfast however day after day we pick up a coffee and forgo starting our metabolism with some sort of solid food. Quinoa porridge is actually the answer to all problems. It can be made in a big batch, customizable to include any toppings your heart desires and really fills you up. This morning I added some almonds, frozen berries and a dollop of yoghurt and was just on cloud nine. Give it a try once and I promise, you will be making it on the regular. Check out some of the recipes below:
Once is a while you get lucky to stumble upon a truly delightful shop that results in fighting strong urges to purchase everything in the store. Ladies (and loving boyfriends), Anice Jewellery in Kensignton Market just so happens to be our latest obsession where you can find unique, hand crafted pieces sure to melt the heart of someone special.
As soon as you walk into this store, owner/designer/creator of all things beautiful Brittany Hopkins, makes you feel right at home. With a punch of vintage and a whole lot of girly, you can pick up a variety of neckless, rings and brackets ranging from many price points (and I promise there will be something to fit every budget). If you are feeling crafty, Brittany also offers a consulting service where you can design your own custom piece and include trinkets and tokens from good times past. I myself, picked up a neckless with my initial hand stamped right on-site.
The holidays are fast approaching and I can almost guarantee you can find something special for any lady on your list, so do yourself a favour an go check it out.
….and follow our new motto:
– Eat cereal for dinner and buy more jewellery.
Check out the rad photo blog People vs. Places. The brain child of artists Timothy Burkhart and Stephanie Bassos, the pair created the double exposure project as a way to “step back from having full control of the image making process and trust in one another while allowing coincidences to happen naturally on film”. Stephanie first takes a full roll of photos of only people, and then Timothy reloads the roll and takes pictures of only places. These unedited results are amazing!
